It’s cold out there. And on February 20, our team is going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we’re walking and fundraising to support and serve people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger in our community.
About Home Horizon
Home Horizon is a charitable organization in Collingwood, Ontario, serving the South Georgian Bay communities.
In July 2017, we moved into the Barbara Weider House a 6-bedroom, 7-bed facility for homeless youth. The facility provides youth facing homelessness with safe housing, coupled with access to counseling and social and life skills programs to help them successfully rebuild their lives and transition to independent living and adulthood. This program is full. As well we have transitioned our successful clients unto independent living. Meanwhile we still have a wait list whom we are supporting through our Outreach programs.
Our goal is to support vulnerable youth in rebuilding their lives and integrating back into their communities, as opposed to continuing down a path of homelessness.
100% of moneys raised will go towards this goal.
